~ all you need to know ~

Ay-up mi ducks, I’m Justin Amore.
An experienced Scrum Master that supports teams and helps the wider enterprise succeed at reaching positive outcomes.
Spent over a decade working with several renowned computer game companies including SEGA and Bullfrog Studios. A list of some of them and the games contributed to are here and here.
During that time the focus was on the test management of computer games to ensure they passed quality assurance over the lifecycle of development. It was also whilst I was at a game developer in Finland that I was introduced to Scrum and Kanban by observing the team update the workflow board in the Daily Scrum…hooked!
As a Scrum Master, some of the achievements I look fondly back on are the teams at Strawdog Studios development of computer game E.T. The Green Planet based on Steven Spielberg’s iconic film. Supporting Bloc Digital with the product design of an innovative application for Rolls-Royce; and most recently at IBM helping teams discover just how great they can be…what a creep!
For clarity, whilst I appreciate how story points if coached and used correctly can be useful, I do look to probabilistic forecasting. Both approaches are beneficial if used in the right situational context. Though do prefer the latter. After all, understanding flow metrics and acting on the signals was a core part of my role at Amazon.

I was lucky enough to be help contribute to Mike Cohn’s course in 2020 as a Beta Tester for Estimating With Story Points.
Kinda big deal to me as I’ve followed Mike’s thoughts on Agile and Scrum for an age. There’s no way I could hold a candle to his knowledge and experience but I’d like to think we share the same enthusiasm for the subjects.
